News:

After a two-year hiatus, Scott Frilot, lead singer/guitarist for Stereobabble, is reuniting with the group Slack Adjustor.  Frilot formed Slack Adjustor in the fall of 2005 with drummer Scott Thompson, and the two recently began rehearsals for a fall show at legendary New Orleans venue Carrollton Station.  Neil Heusel has joined on bass, expanding the original duo to a three-piece.  Frilot describes the group as a “straight-forward power trio” that concentrates on “the raw energy of full-throttle rock.  We’ve got a number of songs that no one has ever heard before, and we’re very excited to be back at it.  This is a no-frills outfit – we’re here to play rock and roll at 100 mph, and that’s about the best explanation of Slack Adjustor I can provide.”  Plans are in the works to record a debut album in the coming months, with a tentative release date set for summer/fall 2008.

In other news, The Tomatoes are in the midst of recording their as-yet-untitled third album in just three years. The band spent the summer locked away in their New Orleans-based studio headquarters known as “the Fallout Shelter,” working on most of the tracks.  Taking a break from the recording process, they recently played the Atlantis Music Conference & Festival in Atlanta, GA, and the CMJ Music Marathon in New York, NY.  Scott Frilot also joined the group on guitar for some recent shows, as the band has begun to perform some of the new, more intricate songs to be featured on the new album.  The upcoming LP is set for an early 2008 release.
